ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 3, 2003
7:00 P.M. Called meeting to order. Present: Ellen Abelson, Robert Merritt,
Paula Keefe and Mark Mazur
7:05 P.M. Old Business
The Board reviewed and then approved as amended the minutes from
March 27, 2003.
The Board was told that the Administrative Assessor discussed exemption
warrant articles, at the Board of Selectmen’s 4/1/03 meeting.
The Board briefly discussed the property that we will be holding a hearing about, later this evening.
7:10 P.M. New Business
The Board took the following actions on the fiscal year 2003 exemption applications of the owners of the following properties:
Clause 37 parcel #130-16 denied
Clause 18 parcel #53-27-1 granted
Clause 18 parcel #52-16 granted
The Board read notices transferring two Appellate Tax Board cases, from
informal to formal procedure.
The Board read a letter from the Norfolk Registry of Deeds discussing
changes at the Registry and difficulties that they have been experiencing.
7:25 P.M. Hearing with Mr. and Mrs. John Flynn to discuss their fiscal year 2003
abatement application. The central topic of discussion was the valuing of
their indoor pool.
8:15 P.M. New Business (continued)
The Board took the following action on the fiscal year 2003 applications
for abatement on the following parcel:
PIN 74-21 Granted
The Board discussed the way that we value indoor pools. They decided
to value each in a similar manner.
